Nursery Routine

Children love things that are predictable. If they are left always wondering what's coming, you may have a bunch of anxious kids to deal with. 

A schedule to follow will save your bacon! 

Printing off pictures to hang on the wall, in the order of when you will do them could prove very useful. 

Our Nursery begins at about 10:10-10:15. I come and set up a few minutes early so that by the time the children arrive, I am ready for them.

10:15-10:30   "Attention Getter" Activity

                        Attention Snack

10:30-10:35    Lesson

10:35-10:45    Craft

10:45- 11:00    Play Time (Nursery Toys)

11:00-11:10     Snack

11:10- 11:25    Play Time

11:25- 11:30    Clean Up, Clean up! (You betcha! Use the Barney song!)

11:30-11:40     Walk
                       
11:40- 11:45    Book Time
                      * Have a basket of books on the floor that they can go look at as soon as they get back in the room.

                        Clean up the books
                        Story Time

11:45-11:50    Music Time

11:50-12:00    Play dough

11:50-12:00    Ending Activity (if you want to pull out your Attention Getter activity again.)
